When Was The Last Time?

When was the last time you expressed to your parents how indebted you are only for being their offspring, a part of their lives?

When was the last time you expressed to your parents how repentant you are for the nuisances you have caused to them in the past?

When was the last time you gazed at your parents and told your heart, "Thank Goodness for these people"?

When was the last time you embraced your parents and told them, "Thanks for the affection and care you've showered on me, and I love you so much"?

When was the last time you gifted something special to your parents just like that, when there was no birthday or anniversary?

When was the last time you counted your parents in your prayers?

When was the last time you made your parents swollen with pride of your accomplishments?

When was the last time you called off your date just because you wanted to be spend some quality time with your parents?

When was the last time you contemplated taking your parents to a dream destination that you had been thinking of going to?

When was the last time you were on your way back home with just the thought of seeing and hugging your parents?

When was the last time you've pompously told your friends about how wonderful and loving your parents are?

When was the last time you pondered over all of these things?

My parents traversed all peaks and valleys without seeing the tempest and heat to make me an individual respectable in the world today.

Remember, your parents did all of the above things for you, much before you even knew how to talk. They did it, not for the reason that they were compelled to, but since they loved you and they will continue doing it over and over, for eternity and everlastingly.

For them, loving you is like inhalation of breath, how can they stop?

PS – While I admit that today’s blog/rant stems out of few personal events, it is something I have constantly wondered about,as to, till what extent people take their parents for granted. If you haven't told them already, how much you love them, NOW is the moment . They might not be there with you tomorrow.
